On March 21, the delegation from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom, including Neil Alexander Hanney, Head of International for the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing and Fiona Ansell, Admission Lead for Nursing and Midwifery and Course Leader for the BSc Health Studies (Nursing) top up visited Xianyang Vocational and Technical College.
After visiting the practical training facilities in the Medical School including the Pharmacy Lab, the Medical Imaging Technology Lab and the Human Body Science Lab, the delegation had a talk with leaders of XVTC.
Vice President Zhao Yunlong gave a brief introduction to the history, campus construction, faculty cultivation, majors, admissions and students' employment, international cooperation, etc. in the meeting, which was hosted by Zhao Wei, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. Hanney expressed his admiration of the development of XVTC, and also talked about the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing in Sheffield Hallam University, specifically programs offered for international students in his department includingthe BSc (Hons) Health Studies and NMC courses for BSc (Hons) Nursing. Both parties also elaborated on the details of the progams, hoping to provide XVTC students with opportunities for further study. Dean of the Medical School took part in the meeting.
