On May 10 the opening ceremony of the 3rd Silk Road Education Cooperation Forum was held in Xi'an. Tova Larissa, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Gao Yang, Deputy Secretary General of the Shaanxi Provincial Government, Wang Jianli, Director-General of the Shaanxi Provincial Education Department and Administrators of universities and colleges in Shaanxi attended the opening ceremony. Over 600 guests from over 20 countries and regions participated in a series of activities. President Zhang Cun and Vice President Zhao Yunlong were invited for the opening ceremony.
In his keynote speech Wang Jianli expressed his sincere welcome to the distinguished guests from all over the world and encouraged universities and colleges in Shaanxi Province to deepen the cooperation with countries along the Silk Road.
During the opening ceremony Wang Jianli unveiled the plate of TAMK Shaanxi Training Center of Vocational Teacher Education. President Zhang Cun signed a cooperation agreement with Chirikanova Natalia, Vice President of Khabarovsk College of Industry Technologies and Services (KCITS).
The forum is hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Government and co-organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Education Department and almost 20 universities and colleges, XVTC included.
