As an important event of the “Silk Road” Education Cooperation and Exchange Conference in 2018, on May 12, the Sino-Russia Vocational Education Forum was held at Xianyang Vocational and Technical College, Delegations from the Higher Vocational and Technical College of Khabarovsk Territory of Russia, Institute of Industrial Technology and Services of Khabarovsk Territory of Russia, Normal College of Khabarovsk Territory of Russia as well as directors from secondary schools of Xianyang Vocational and Technical College such as Medical School, Normal School, Electromechanical School, School of Electronic Information, School of Architecture, Automobile school attent the meeting. The meeting was host by Zhao Wei, Director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of Xianyang Vocational and Technical College.
At the meeting, Zhao Yunlong, vice president of Xianyang Vocational and Technical College, gave a brief introduction to the history, location, infrastructure, school scale, majors and international exchanges and cooperation such as foreign receptions, overseas exchange, study abroad, overseas employment, cooperative education, cultural exchange, foreign teachers, and WorldSkills competition in recent years. He pointed out that XVTC has focused on education internationalization and hoped to take the 2018 “Silk Road “Education Cooperation and Exchange Conference as an opportunity to cooperate with the vocational colleges in the Khabarovsk Territory in Russia to achieve "mutual benefit and common development." On the basis of this, we will further promote the friendly exchange and in-depth cooperation between the two sides, and achieve deeper cooperation in student exchange, academic research, teacher training and so on.
Representatives from both sides shared their themes on their disciplines and professional development. Liu Qiyuan, dean of medical school, showed the characteristics of nursing in the XVTC from aspects of curriculum construction, “Three one” training model; Luo Llianhe, dean of School of Electromechanical School, presented concepts, modern apprenticeships, school-enterprise cooperation of electromechanical integration major . etc.; Wang Hui, dean of School of Electronic Information, mainly expressed his hope to build a new academy IT school. Xu Deqian, dean of School of Architecture, shared the specific explorations of various majors of their school in the process of running schools from the perspectives of innovation and development, school-enterprise cooperation and employment service upgrading; He Wenfeng, director of Teaching Office from Automotive School shared the training mode, teaching resources, teaching evaluation, faculty team, and practical training of the Sino-German cooperative education program for automotive major; Zhang Yu, Director of the Institute for Child Development of Normal School, had a review of the history, curriculum construction, students training, Open Education Mechanism and other aspects of preschool education major.
Finally, both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on cooperation in co-running schools, research cooperation, teacher exchanges, student exchanges and worldskills competitions.
After the meeting, the Russian delegation visited the Experimental Training Room of the Normal School of XVTC.
