At 8:00 a.m. on August 30th, faculty and students of Xianyang Vocational and Technical College started their first class in the new semester online, with college administrators attending as an inspection and means to ensure the quality of teaching, which is a tradition in XVTC.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic and the 14th National Games, XVTC conducts online classes for students from August 30 to September 18. On the first day of the new semester, 275 teachers and more than 13,000 students from 166 classes started 217 courses through online platforms such as Superstar Learning, Dingding, QQ and Tencent Live Classroom.
Attaching great importance to the beginning of the new semester, college administrators, including Deputy Party Sectaries Xi Shangjun and Zhang Jiangang, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection Diwu Jianying, as well as Deputy Prsidents Rui Hongya, Wang Hui, Yang Xinyu and Wu Xujin comprehensively inspected courses offered by different schools, such as Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought, the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese CharacteristicsandAdult Nursing. Teachers and students demonstrated good spirits as the online teaching went orderly.
In order to fully guarantee the quality of online teaching and students' learning, a variety of departments in the college have collaborated to arrange the curriculum, distribute teachers' teaching materials and students' textbooks, organize students, allocate training sites, provide logistics support as well as prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic. Teaching and research offices have conscientiously organized collective lessons planning, and tested teaching equipments as an effort to successfully complete teaching tasks.
